Frequently Asked Questions 082_Cannady_722082_Cannady_722

The most popular question I receive is "Do you enjoy shooting weddings?"

Yes. Is it is hard work and it will keep you on the edge of your game, but I love it because I get the 'best seat in the house' for the event.  I see the bride before hand and the groom too as they get ready.  I'm right there with them as they say their vows, and I'm right there with them for their first dance. I'm right there with them for the day.  And I'm allowed access into their lives on what could be a 'most important day in their lives'. Not even their parents are this close to them on this day.

I live out of state, can you still photograph my wedding?

For sure. I have many clients that live out of state, but choose to have their wedding here because of family. Everything, but the photography itself, can be done online. From booking, to contract signing, to creating and reviewing your wedding album can be done online.

What Camera Do You Shoot With?

It is said that the quality of a camera doesn't make the photographer great. That being said, I still only use high-end cameras and equipment. As of writing this I shoot with a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV 30 megapixel full-frame professional camera as my main body and an assortment of Canon Professional L series lenses, wireless strobes, and studio equipment.

Can I Get a Copy of All the Hi-Res Digital Files?

Yes. They are included in every package.

How Many Pictures Do You Shoot?

It really depends on your wedding; the number of different events scheduled, the situations that present themselves and the number of guests invited. Typically, for an all day event we capture 4,000 - 5,000 images. I then create an edited selection of between 800 and 1100 images.

Do You Do Posed Wedding Shots?

Yes. I will provide you with a shot list so that you can determine which formal shots are important to you. I will then coordinate the time to execute these images.

Are You Insured?

Absolutely. I can provide you with a certificate of liability insurance for you, your reception site, and your wedding site.

What Is Your Payment Policy?

1/3 of the photography fee is due with the signed agreement. The balance of the fee is due the date of your event. Payments for final prints, extra proofs, extra proof magazines, albums, and other products are due in full at time of ordering.

Do You Shoot All Your Booked Weddings?

Yes, when you contract La Foto Bella Wedding Photography you are contracting me, Jesse Ramirez, for my personal professional service. When shooting larger events, another photographer may assist me, but in all cases, I am the principal photographer.

Do you bring back-up equipment?

Yes, I never leave home with out it. I bring a second camera body, multiple flash units, and multiple memory cards.

Do You Travel?

Yes, but additional fees and expenses may apply. Please call or e-mail to discuss.

What About Lighting?

I shoot with available light and add flash when needed. I also use large studio strobes, remote strobes, and light modifiers when needed.

Do I Choose Color or Black & White or Both?

Since I shoot digitally, everything will be captured in color. The conversation to Black & White or even Sepia happens post event date. After I release your Online Album to you, you can have the option of choosing which prints will be printed in Color or Black & White.

Do You Shoot Digital or Traditional Film Photography?

I shoot exclusively digital. Not only is digital photography indistinguishable from traditional film, but it also offers a greater amount of flexibility and spontaneity as well as the precise control that a photographer needs. Everything you see in this site was shot digitally, and no one really shoots film anymore for such events.
